The Process
Most precision manufacturers we work with have serious equipment, real certifications, and genuine capacity. The problem is never capability. It's visibility across the surfaces engineers and procurement teams actually use to find suppliers: Google Maps, local commercial searches, capability searches, industry searches, and material searches. Here's how we improve visibility across each of them.
Where most shops start
We audit a new precision manufacturer's presence and find the same patterns every time.
One services page. Under 15 pages indexed. Capabilities buried in PDFs Google can't read. No dedicated pages for individual processes, materials, or industries. A thin or unclaimed Google Business Profile with no reviews or photos. Certifications like AS9100 or ISO 13485 mentioned in passing rather than structured as the search assets they are.
Meanwhile their competitors, often with identical equipment, are showing up in the map pack for local commercial searches and ranking for the capability, material, and industry searches their buyers actually use.
Before the retainer
We don't ask precision manufacturers to commit to a monthly retainer before we've done the work to understand their specific opportunity across every surface buyers use. Every engagement starts with a 30-day paid Discovery Project, the Search Visibility Blueprint.
This protects you. You get a complete deliverable package with real value regardless of what you decide after. And it protects us, we don't start executing without a clear map of where qualified buyers are actually searching and where your shop can realistically win.
A 60-minute strategy session with your leadership team to understand your ideal customers, highest-margin work, certifications, equipment, capacity, and long-term growth goals. Before we recommend SEO, we first understand your business.
We map how engineers and procurement teams actually search for suppliers in your niche. You'll receive prioritized opportunities based on your capabilities, industries, materials, certifications, and revenue potential, not simply search volume.
A complete evaluation of your digital presence, including technical SEO, search visibility, competitor positioning, website architecture, and buyer experience. We identify where your current presence falls short of the opportunities mapped in Step 2.
We transform our research into a complete website plan, including page structure, navigation, service pages, content strategy, and technical SEO requirements before development begins.
We launch your fully built manufacturing website, including your optimized service pages, technical SEO foundation, analytics, and conversion tracking. You'll receive a live walkthrough, Q&A session, and a prioritized roadmap for ongoing SEO growth. Everything is yours to keep.
Website implementation
As part of the CNC Search Visibility Blueprint, we determine whether your current website can support the recommended search architecture, technical improvements, content expansion, tracking, and RFQ experience.
Based on what we find, we recommend one of three implementation paths.
We retain your current website and implement the recommended technical, content, internal-linking, tracking, and conversion improvements through the monthly retainer.
We keep the existing platform but rebuild selected page templates, navigation, capability sections, or the RFQ experience where the current structure creates limitations.
When the existing platform cannot efficiently support the strategy, we scope a new search-focused manufacturing website around your capabilities, materials, industries, certifications, proof, and RFQ process.
A rebuild is never assumed. Website development is quoted separately, and you may use River North SEO, your existing developer, or another qualified provider.
The retainer
After the Blueprint, we confirm whether the strategy can be executed on your existing website or whether targeted development is required. Clients who move forward then follow a four-phase execution roadmap that improves visibility across Google Maps, local commercial searches, capability searches, industry searches, and material searches, in the order that produces the fastest qualified RFQs for your specific market.
Phase 01 · Month 1–2
We first resolve the technical, tracking, architecture, and RFQ issues preventing Google and qualified buyers from properly using the site. When the existing website can support the strategy, we begin publishing the first priority pages immediately. When development is required, the initial phase focuses on the templates, navigation, migration safeguards, and conversion infrastructure needed to support the full roadmap.
Phase 02 · Month 2–3
In parallel with content work we improve visibility in Google Maps and local commercial searches. We claim and fully optimize your Google Business Profile, structure your service areas and categories correctly, build out local citations, resolve NAP inconsistencies, and align on-site signals with the way Google localizes supplier searches in your region.
Phase 03 · Month 3–6
We build the structured architecture buyers use to evaluate suppliers: one page per commercial service, one per capability, one per material, one per industry. Each is written the way an engineer or procurement officer evaluates a shop, and each targets a specific search buyers actually make. In parallel we begin building third-party authority through trade publications and industrial directories.
Phase 04 · Month 6+
Visibility requires maintenance. Competitors keep building. Google keeps localizing more searches. AI search keeps evolving. We monitor your rankings and map pack position weekly, update content as your capabilities and certifications change, track RFQ submissions from every discovery surface, and ensure your shop gets cited in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews when buyers search for what you make.
